After a very long wait, myTuneSync 1.2 is now ready for release!
Though the version number indicates a "minor" release, myTuneSync 1.2 is actually pretty substantial. The main new features are:
- Playlist Syncing (Yay! About time! Awesome!!!) Yes, now you can sync your playlists between computers. And you can create filters (just like you can with tracks) to get only the playlists you want.
- Additional Metadata Synchronization. 1.2 will now sync Album Rating, BPM, Comments, Disc Number, Disc Count, Equalizer, Genre, Play Count, Play Date, Rating, Skipped Count and Year.
- Manual Sync Group Selections. When presented with a list of potentially thousands of tracks to sync, you can now right-click on a track and select/deselect all tracks: By the same Artist, of the same Album, of the same Kind or with the same Genre or Status.
- Manual Sync Searching. You can search through that same list of thousands of tracks simply by typing in a few characters.
In addition to these new features, myTuneSync 1.2 also fixes a few problems including:
- Allows you to sync files larger than 2GB
- Supports a 64-bit Java environment
- Makes sure iTunes is left running, if it was running when myTuneSync started
I am very proud of this release and I hope you like it too. So if you're already a customer, it's a free upgrade so go grab it. If you're not a customer, download the fully-functional 15-day trial and try it out.
